Dual Motor Pickup

Motor Sports latest creation is a 1965 Mini Cooper Pickup Truck built for Shell Oil Co... At least that is what it entered this world as. Now it has grown into a one of a kind beast.  Anyone that has come in to contact with this car will definitely agree, the monstrous HP numbers, the growl of the exhausts harmonizing with each other. There is no question that this vehicle is a sight to behold!

Let’s take a look at those numbers. We will start with one. Why does one stand out? That is how many people can drive it… That’s right! The interior is designed around a fighter jet cockpit, with a single, center drive seating layout. All of the vitals can be monitored by the driver at a glance, without looking around.

Which brings us to the next number, 22. There are 22 Stewart Warner gauges in the dash allowing the driver thorough knowledge of what is happening at any time and adding to the fighter jet look. Why 22? Well, on to the next number, 2. Two is the most shocking of all of the numbers in the car. Why?

There are two motors! The front engine directly drives the front wheels and the rear motor directly drives the rear wheels. They are identical Honda B16a2 motors with a heavy dose of modification. They have been fitted with all new internals, including low compression pistons and custom built headers.

They have T3/T4 Hybrid Master power turbos pushing 23lbs of boost into those little power plants to squeeze 550HP from each one! This finally leads us to the biggest number of all, 1100. When you stuff 1100HP into an 1800lb car with AWD, well…You better not blink!

The scariest part of the whole thing is that HP rating does not even include the two Nitrous Express kits that have been installed!! Both engines feature a dual stage direct port wet system for those that need a little extra kick.

The paint certainly will not be missed either! There are 80 different shades of Planet Color paint in an amazing airbrushed paint scheme. There is no base color, just hours and hours of airbrushing!

With the single gullwing door opened, you can see the 15" video monitor in the door, as well as the JL Audio 8W7 Subwoofers and 500/1 and 300/2 amplifiers. That fiberglass seat may not look comfortable, but slide inside and you will find that it fits like a glove and completes the jet cockpit feel.

Here are some close-up shots of that famous interior. Note the separate gauge clusters for the front and rear motors, as well as the switch panel that controls everything from the air ride to the video!
